What A Crappy Election Year

Obarmy ObamaMcCain McAmnestyEvil Hillary

The news is replete with the typical oogling over the political rifraf that is attempting to take the Presidency of this country.  Like letcherous ticks, the news media swells off the blood of the campaigns, who said what and when and why and what this opinion poll says and what this statement will do this candidate or that one.

It’s all rubbish.  And here’s why.

On the critical issues that face this country, the candidates are all the same.  Sure, they pose themselves differently, but how different are they really?  All of them support bigger government, all of them want more regulations regarding how we live our lives, and none of them are concerned with our personal liberties.  They are of the same mindset- that all goods and services are derived from the government (at least until the dictatorship of the proletariat.)  And that being the case, all things are then solved by government.  And since all things derive from the government, then things are either rights or priviledges defined by the government.  And this is the heart of the problem with all of them.

Until our leaders come to the grips that all people in this nation have rights and freedom separate and apart from the government, then our freedom is doomed.  This new wave of politicians hide their totalitarianizm in feel good disguises, such as entitlement programs and health care, but essentially rob people of their freedom.  These are the happy-face facists, the snuggle bunny Stalinists, the merry Maoists.  “Isn’t this better for everyone?” they say as they rob us of our incomes and regulate our freedoms away.

And since the candidate who would change all of that doesn’t have a chance at winning his parties nomination, I have no idea who to vote for.  I guess I either vote my conscience and write him in, or I play eeny-meeny-miney-mo and try to choose the lesser of evils among the three.
